I have a 20 month old Golden Retriever. I’ve had her since she was a puppy. She’s about average size for her breed. Everywhere I go people think she’s a puppy. She’s got some feathering around her hind legs, tummy, fronts, and tail. How long will it take before she reaches full maturity?
Show lines? Or field lines?
Field-bred dogs rarely attain the showy coats that their show-bred cousins do. Even at physical maturity, there’s usually an obvious difference.
If your Goldie is from a show breeder, she should have her full feathering by age 3. And should have MOST of that by age 2.
Usually a GR will reach full size at arounf 2-2 1/2 years.

She hasn’t grown much in the last 6 months? Expect less in the next 6. I think the feathering may show more in the new coat after her next seasonal shedding. Some have less than others.
Check the ends of the leg bones. If they are still much knobbier than an adult’s, the growth plates are still open and it is still growing. If not, do not expect much more growth.
